Welcome friend!
For almost three years I have been the face behind The Domesticated Rabbit, an educational website and social media community dedicated to helping rabbit parents create happy lives for their pets. My ever evolving journey down the rabbit hole has led me here to write The Holistic Rabbit.
It reflects an approach I feel very passionate about. I offer practical advice and natural wellness insights for those of you rabbit parents who want to nurture your rabbits in a more loving and thoughtfully crafted environment where they can thrive.
As a Level 1 Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner, I have blended natural healing along with traditional healing in my own rabbits’ care with 3 of my buns living until the ripe old ages of 12 1/2, 11 3/4 and 11 yrs. and 2 months!

A Snippet From The Introduction....
What does it mean to truly see a rabbit? To witness them—not merely by their needs, but their nature? What if caring for your rabbit could be more than routine pellets and playtime? What if it could be a mindful practice that nurtures not just your rabbit’s body, but their spirit too?
The happiness, health and longevity of your rabbit begins with a holistic approach to their overall well being. The Holistic Rabbit is a guide for those who see their rabbits not just as pets, but as sentient, soulful beings- complex, emotional, and energetically sensitive, deserving of the same intentional care we give ourselves. Whether you’re new to rabbit guardianship or a seasoned parent, this book invites you to look beyond conventional care and into a lifestyle grounded in nature, energy, and deep connection.
Holistic care begins with the understanding that true wellness is not isolated to the physical body alone. To care for the whole rabbit means to recognize the deep connection between body, mind, and spirit through awareness, intention and love.
This is only the beginning of our journey together!
Stay tuned for new endeavors!

Hello! I came across your website for bunnies and wanted to ask what you recommend for rabbit fleas?? We have 3 bunnies that we rescued from outside and have had for a while now. They spent their earlier months outside snd still have a bit of an outdoor temperament.. they’re terrified of being picked up and frighten easily. We recently found some fleas in the house and have found 2 on one rabbit. Our vet wants us to bring them in before giving us a prescription for flea medication and our rabbits about think they’ve died a thousand deaths when we take them in and I don’t want to use toxic chemicals on them! I love to treat things holistically and without toxic chemicals, but I’m unsure what options there are. Any advice?? Thank you for your help!
