Compassionate Caregivers

TDR is excited to announce our new article series Compassionate Caregiver! The Isabelle Fisher Bun Mom award was the catalyst to highlighting selfless bun caregivers and spotlighting different needs that rabbits may have. Not only do I want to honor those that give unconditionally to their rabbits, but help educate current and prospective owners about the realities of rabbits bodies failing them not just in old age, but due to illness or even being born with special needs.

This award was created by Bunmoms Anonymous in honor of Izzy, owned by Suzanne Fisher. Izzy was a lovely bun that developed head tilt and lived hoppily & courageously for several years all because of  the loving and dedicated care she received.

I am so honored not only to have been chosen for this award, but to receive such a beautiful gift from my friend Izzy’s mum as well as a wonderful donation to Hop on Home in Grilly’s memory.
