1. What is your business?
Bunny Business is a small, home-based 3D printing company that creates high-quality
enrichment toys, hay feeders, and living space accessories for pet rabbits. Every product is
designed with our own buns’ needs and safety in mind. We’re also expanding into products that
help disabled rabbits live fuller, easier lives, combining fun, function, and accessibility.
2. Tell me about yourself, your buns.
I’m a stay-at-home mom to two amazing girls, and our home has become a little haven for our
rabbits, BunBun and Bailey. BunBun showed up in our backyard a little over a year
ago—dumped in the field behind our house. At first, I thought he was a wild rabbit, but after
some research and convincing from my daughter, BunBun became part of our family.
He’s a black Mini Satin Rex and has taught us so much about rabbit care! We quickly realized a
“deluxe multi-rabbit hutch” wasn’t enough, so we upgraded him to a large indoor x-pen
setup—which now takes up most of our downstairs and even includes a couch just for him.
Bailey, a Holland Lop we initially thought was a girl, joined us soon after. Both boys are
neutered, living side-by-side in spacious pens, and are incredibly spoiled and pampered.
They’re playful, mischievous, and completely part of our family, and they continue to inspire
everything we create at Bunny Business.
3. What inspired you to start your business?
The inspiration for Bunny Business came from a personal need—I wanted to work from home
because my older daughter has autism, and it can be challenging for me to leave her for long
periods. My husband had a 3D printer, and we started by making a hay roller as a fun project for
our own rabbits. We quickly realized that other rabbits might love it too. From there, I dove
headfirst into learning 3D printing, networking with other rabbit owners, and figuring out e-
commerce. What began as a small project for our own buns turned into a business focused on
creating enrichment products that rabbits genuinely enjoy.
4. How is your business unique?
Bunny Business is unique because everything we make is 3D-printed and specifically designed
for rabbits. This allows us to create durable, safe, and customizable products that meet the
needs of real buns. We’re also beginning to carve out a niche in products designed to help
disabled rabbits live fuller, easier lives—a focus that’s still very rare in the rabbit world. Our goal
is to combine fun, function, and accessibility in every product we make.
5. How long have you been doing this?
We officially started Bunny Business in May, so it’s still a very new venture—but it’s been
exciting to see how quickly our products have resonated with rabbits and their owners.
6. What does a typical work day look like?
I usually start my day pretty early by clearing completed prints from the 3D printers, loading
new filament, and getting everything ready for the day’s production. Then I review orders, plan
print schedules, and check emails and other communications. Once my kids are settled into school, I spend the bulk of the day packing orders, running the printers, networking, brainstorming new products, updating the website, and planning product launches and promotions. In the late afternoon, I deliver orders to mail drop-off points, pick up my kids, and plan for the next day. Evenings are often spent keeping the printers running, sometimes late into the night, with long prints scheduled to run while we sleep.
7. What is your biggest challenge?
Right now, my biggest challenge is managing growth—wanting the business to expand without
growing too fast. We have three printers, and if a large order comes in, it can be tricky to fulfill
everything while keeping inventory balanced. These are actually great problems to have, and
I’m constantly brainstorming ways to create more space and streamline production. Honestly, I’d
love to be so busy with orders that we have to keep upgrading—so don’t hold back on ordering
for us because you feel sorry for me!
8. What is your most popular product?
By far, our hay roller is the favorite. We haven’t met—or heard of—a bun who doesn’t love it!
Honestly, it’s still a mystery to me why they enjoy it so much, so if anyone figures it out, I’d love
to know. They’re a great product though, and my own BunBun goes absolutely bananas when I
fill them with parsley or cilantro. Watching him go to town on a hay roller is part of the inspiration
behind everything we create at Bunny Business.
9. What advice would you give to an aspiring entrepreneur?
Don’t be afraid to try out your ideas! I never would have imagined that 3D-printed rabbit toys
could become a business, but here we are. Be bold, take the leap, and see where your ideas
can go—you might be surprised by what’s possible.

The Domesticated Rabbit….“I too must give a 5 star rating to Bunny Business. They were kind enough to send me some of their products and I have to say they did not disappoint!
My elder bun is 11 1/2 and has been declining in the past few months. Arthritis has set in and she was just diagnosed with a large tumor on her chest between her front paws. Because of these factors we knew she was having an increasingly hard time getting in and out of her litterbox and decided she would do best without one. We use large washable peepads and the open air hay feeder is a godsend. She can easily access her hay while still being on her pad and it contains the messy hay quite well. I highly recommend this product for injured, special needs, and elder buns.
As far as the hay rollers…my other rabbits LOVE them! They have had both hay and cilantro and it absolutley keeps them occupied for hours until they get every last bit out!”
